SUMMARY:Wood Creek Project Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join the Cuyahoga River AOC and Cleveland Metroparks as we celebrate the completion of the Wood Creek Fish Passage Project! \n\n\n\nThe Cuyahoga River Area of Concern (AOC) and Cleveland Metroparks (CMP) are excited to commemorate the completion of the Management Action Project (MAP) in Wood Creek! This project was designed and constructed to improve the creek’s fish community and restore its overall health. \nThe Wood Creek project is one of many restoration efforts underway throughout the area of concern to address critical environmental issues impacting the river. With each completed project\, we move one step closer to restoring the health of the Cuyahoga River\, its 21 subwatersheds\, and the adjacent 10 miles of Lake Erie shoreline. \nJoin us to learn more about the project\, volunteer in a planting activity and fish sampling/identification (weather permitting)\, and celebrate this important restoration milestone with us! \nFree food from Merwin’s Wharf Food Truck will be available for all attendees. We hope to see you there\, register HERE! \n\nThis event is sponsored by generous donations from Stantec and Cleveland Metroparks\, plus many other organizations. Additional funding has been provided through a grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Environmental Protection Agency\, with funds from the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
