Congratulations to Share the River, recognized as the 2023 Champion of the River! Share the River was founded by Jim Ridge as an organization that promotes the economic, social, and recreational vibrancy of Cleveland’s waterfront. They’re a member of the Cuyahoga River Safety Task Force and also serve as a stakeholder partner for the Cuyahoga River Water Trail. They collaborate with cross-sector stakeholders to promote and drive social and recreational activity to Cleveland’s Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie shoreline.

The Champion of the River award is presented annually to recognize current individuals or organizations trying to make a positive impact on the river.  Our hope is that by recognizing such inspiring and significant efforts, we can encourage continued stewardship of our water resources.

The Cuyahoga River AOC Advisory Committee hosted a celebration for the removal of one of their BUIs and to honor of Share The River at Collision Bend Brewing Company on November 16, 2023. The event was attended by all who appreciate the value of the Cuyahoga River for its recreational, economic, and habitat development!
